Looking for a great surf spot on the Oregon Coast?  Check out some of our favorite spots for beginners to seasoned surfers the Oregon Coast offers it all.   New improved wetsuit technology has made cold water surfing in the Pacific Northwest more enjoyable than ever.

In the Cannon Beach/Seaside area Short Sands Beach an excellent spot for beginners and to take a class. More advanced surfers may want to check out the cove at Indian Beach, at the foot of Ecola State Park.

Pacific City is my personal favorite.  This gorgeous beach provides a stretch of breaks perfect for beginners, as well as a view of Chief Kiawanda, Haystack Rock and beautiful Cape Kiwanda.  To learn about the surf in this little beach town stop by Moment Surf Shop, for where to go, lessons, and rentals.

Lincoln City offers Road’s End State Recreation Area Beach at the very north end of Lincoln City. This is a popular kite surfing area and for the more experienced surfers. You will enjoy the views of Cascade Head as you ride the waves.

A short distance south of Lincoln City is Otter Rock Beach home to the Otter Rock and Roll youth surf contest, as well as the famous Devil’s Punchbowl rock formation.

Moving down the coast to Newport you come to on the north side of town Agate Beach and South Beach State Park on the south side of town.  Agate Beach is well protected from the north wind and a popular place to surf for the locals of the area.
